I brought her in for a vet appointment on Friday and now she is all caught up on her kitten shots and parasite tests. I had noticed that a patch of shiny fur was slowly creeping down her back and apparently that is her adult fur coming in replacing the dull colored fluffy kitten fur. So little Dora is growing up, she is about five pounds now and five months.
Mingo has assumed an 'adult' role in the house now that Dora is the kitten. She sits on a high post and watches Dora with her kitten antics. It also seems as if they have developed a nurturing relationship. Dora will run up to the sleeping Mingo and flop onto the floor at her feet and (not so) patiently wait for Mingo to wake up and start grooming her. But here is a picture of the sleeping, and not disturbed Mingo:

Weekend cat blogging is where (traditionally food) bloggers get together and post pictures of their cats. This week Chef Sarah is hosting WCB #66. Go there to look at more pictures of pretty cats.

Hi Jory
Whitney sent me your "cat" blog site and I love the pictures. They look like they keep each other as well as you company. Hope all is well.

Hi Aria,
Thank you, I hope they're happy. I was worried at first that Mingo would be angry with a kitten invading her territory, but it all seems to have worked out well.
Hi Judy,
I hope you like the cat site. I thought it would be easier than emailing pictures to everyone.
